Miller Elementary Red Ribbon Week starts on October 28 and goes through November 1st.
Monday: wear red to stop drugs
Tuesday: team up against drugs- sports jersey
Wednesday: power to be drug free - wear a superhero shirt
Thursday: costumes on, fear is gone! drugs are scary (halloween parade in the morning, see guidelines shared)
Friday: use your head, don't do drugs - silly hats and hair accessories



Miller Elementary's Halloween Parade is scheduled for Thursday, October 31st.
Participation on this day's theme is optional. Students who would like to dress up, should arrive to school in their costume. Students who do not want to dress up are invited to wear orange and black or a halloween shirt. Parents are invited to this event.
Costumes should follow these guidelines:
• Must not keep student from moving freely
• Masks are not allowed
• No face makeup
• No weapons and free of blood
Students who choose to wear a costume need a change of clothes. Costumes will only be permitted during the parade.

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 10 and 11 . Thursday and Friday are non-student days. Conference times should be confirmed with your student's teacher(s). Please contact the front office should you have any questions.

Miller's Scholastics Book Fair is scheduled October 14-18. Please inform your students that the book fair will be open during their scheduled library time and not before school, during recess, lunch, or after school.

Are you interested in volunteering for field trips or on a regular basis in your child's classroom? Please review our new guidelines:
If you already submitted a volunteer application during the 2023-2024 school year, you do not need to reapply to serve as an EUSD volunteer. You will only need to complete an application in the following circumstances:
1. You haven't filled out the volunteer form
2. You want to increase your volunteer level (contact family liaison)
3. Your TB test has expired (Level 1-3) - First time TB Test must be taken within 60 days of by a licensed provider in the United States (expires in 4 years).
4. Your Driver's License of Insurance has expired (Level 3)
GENERAL VISITOR/ VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:
1. Complete and electronically sign the EUSD Volunteer Application and Code of Conduct
2. Check into the front office with ID before entering school grounds.
DIFFERENT LEVELS OF VOLUNTEERING:
Level 0 - General School Volunteer
• Fill out volunteer application
Level 1 - Regular Classroom Volunteers
• Needs to be Level 0 + needs a TB test dated within the last 60 days
Level 2 - Unsupervised Volunteers
• Needs to be Level 0 + level 1 + fingerprint scan on file
Level 3 - Field Trip Driver
•Needs to be Level 0 + Level 1 + Level 2 + Field trip by private vehicle form

Don't miss out on the delicious flavors of the season. Popsicles or frozen treats will be sold after school on the last Friday of every month. Look for our PTA tent in front of the school. All items will be sold for $1 - $3.
