Dear Miller Mustang Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you enjoyed a restful and fun-filled summer with time to relax, recharge, and make wonderful memories with family and friends. As we prepare to open our doors, the excitement is building across campus—we cannot wait to welcome our Mustangs back to school!
At Miller, we believe in fostering a learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their personal best. This year, we are continuing our commitment to academic growth, fostering a positive school culture, and promoting meaningful student engagement. Together, we will create experiences that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and confidence.
A few reminders as we get started:
First Week of School
The first day of school is August 19th, 2025. Parents/guardians are welcome to help their student ease into the school year by walking them to their classroom door for the first week of school only. At the 7:55 bell, we will ask parents to start exiting campus so students can start their day with their teachers before the tardy bell at 8:00 am.
It’s also a spirit week! Here are the themes for the following days:

Dismissal Procedures
To support our Miller community and neighborhood traffic at dismissal, we will be using both the Miller and Brotherton egress routes at the end of the school day. TK and Kindergarten will be dismissed from inside the campus gate and the front of the campus. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Siblings will be dismissed from the front grass patch of campus. They will be sitting on the grass in lines by the teacher's name. All 4th/5th-grade students and special education students will be released from the Brotherton gate. Please do not block our special education transportation buses' staging area or park in the Miller Staff Parking lot. Street parking is available in our surrounding neighborhood, as well as two visitor parking spaces towards the front gate of campus. See the map linked here for details: After School Pick Up

The Principal’s Welcome and Title I presentation will start in the MPR at 5:00 pm. At 5:30, parents/guardians will be released to the first session of the two 25-minute sessions for back-to-school night. Thank you in advance for coming back to school with us at night on Thursday!

Your partnership is essential in making this school year a success, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
